  • How do I register?
    Send us an email at hubcitydrivingschool@gmail.com or call/text at (506) 688-5538, and we will send you the registration questionnaire.
  • When can my child register?
    Your child can register 2 months prior to his/her 16th birthday. The online theory and the virtual in-class lesson will help prepare him/her for the learner’s written test (class 7.1). Your child may write the learner’s test as early as their 16th birthday.
  • Can I use the driving school’s vehicle for my road test?
    Absolutely! Upon successful completion of the driver education course, your driving instructor will schedule your road test and you will have access to our vehicle. This service is included in the Basic, Standard and Premium packages. If you are unsuccessful on your first road test attempt, your driving instructor will provide options such as purchasing additional driving lessons and using our vehicle for your second attempt. Applicable fees of $80 (+ HST) per hour will apply for both options. Your driving instructor will remain available for the scheduling of your road test.
  • Do you accept debit/credit payments?
    Unfortunately, we only accept cash and or e-transfers.
  • What if I need extra hours of in-car lessons?
    If you are taking the full course, it is HIGHLY recommended that you practice as much as possible in between each lesson with family and/or friends. Practice makes perfect! We do offer extra lessons at 80.00$ (+ HST) per hour.
  • What are the driving restrictions with a Class 7 Graduated Licence - Level 2 (7-2)?
    Cannot drive between midnight and 5:00 a.m. except for education or work purposes or if they're accompanied by a driver who has a Class 5 or better licence and at least three years driving experience. They can apply to the Registrar of Motor Vehicles for an exemption to this night time restriction for other reasons. Cannot have more than three passengers in their vehicle and no more than one passenger in the front seat. Driver's in the Graduated License Program must maintain a zero blood alcohol (BAC) content while driving.
  • What are the driving restrictions with a Class 7 Graduated Licence - Level 1 (7-1)?
    Must be accompanied by only one passenger who has a Class 5 or better licence, at least three years of driving experience and who is seated in the front passenger seat. Cannot drive between midnight and 5:00 a.m. Can be eligible to take the road test for Level 2 after eight months if graduated from a licensed driver training school or after 12 months if they have not. Driver's in the Graduated License Program must maintain a zero blood alcohol (BAC) content while driving.
  • Do you have payment plans?
    For the full course, you can pay half of the registration costs at the time of registration. The remaining half will need to be paid in full before the in-car lessons begin. If you are registering for refresher lessons, the full amount needs to be paid in full before the first in-car lesson.
  • What is the vehicle I will practice in?
    You will practice in a marked, automatic, black 2018 Ford EcoSport OR 2018 Chevrolet Spark. Both vehicles are equipped with a dual brake. Our vehicles are regularly inspected by professional mechanics to make sure that all the components are in perfect working conditions.
  • I want the certificate for insurance purposes. How can I get this?
    To receive the government-issued certificate, you MUST take the driver education course. Therefore, you will be required to complete the online theory, attend the virtual in-class lesson, and complete a minimum of 10 hours in-car lessons. The road test will be held on the 11th hour (subject to the chosen package) if all course objectives have been successfully achieved.
  • How long does it take to complete the course?
    If you are a new driver, you will only be eligible for your road test (class 7.2) 8 months after obtaining your class 7.1. The completion of the course may go beyond the eligibility date if you wait too long to register. On average, the course could take up to 6 months to complete. If you are a new resident to New Brunswick, the process to complete the full course could take up to 6 months as well.
